Monday was a rather wet and uneventful day. Just one of those blah fall days that makes you want to stay inside. Patricia and I visited for a good portion of the morning and then she had some family matters to attend to and I had a stack of ironing calling to me. Dale decided to go off and explore so we each had a few hours to "get things done"!
Surprisingly, the day passed all too fast and before you know it we were all together again. Turns out Dale got lost a few times and had some fun finding his way back. We are on a peninsula and if you get off on one of the bridges, or the entry freeway to the bridges, it is some distance before you can turn around.....which he found out!
We three had a quiet (yah sure, the three of us..quiet!!) happy hour and then tried to consume all the leftovers from the past few days. Needless to say, Patricia still has a fridge full of leftovers.
Tuesday, we had a leisurely morning to do whatever needed doing and then around 11:00 we took off for a very large outlet mall across The Bay Bridge. With the traffic, it was just under an hour to get there. Good thing Patricia knows the way because we were totally turned around AND we have to go the same way today on our own!!
We spent the next five hours going in and out of stores, ooohing and awwing and trying things on. And of course, there was a Harry and David's, a Rocky Mountain Fudge and a Pepperidge Farms, which all gave out very nice samples! Patricia and Dale managed to score some awesome bargains so it was a successful venture. I bought chocolates wafers (Tim Tams..yahoo!!)..what else does a girl need!
We had planned on going out for dinner, but after our sampling and a late lunch no one was hungary so enjoyed a fun visit on the bus followed by chicken noodle soup! and then, as we were all pooped, we made it an early night.
Today we leave Patricia and her brother Bill (and Mike too!) and of course, delightful Charlie...we'll miss that little guy. We're heading to the eastern shore of Maryland/Virginia to Chincoteague to camp and to see the wild ponies and of course, more exploring. We'll keep you posted.
Till next time..hope everyone is enjoying a glorious autumn and to all our Canadian family and friends, have a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. We'll be in touch.....
