Finally got to meet new great nephew Nixon, 4 mos old and the spitting image of Ryley! A snuggly little one and a big hit with sister Taylor, who is now 2 1/2 yrs old. The kids are growing way to fast. Ryley was home on days off so good to get to visit him as well as Sarah and the kids. They hope to be out to Vancouver next summer so will plan on spending a lot more time with them.

We overnighted in Red Deer and were treated to a magnificent and very colourful lighting and thunderstorm and more RAIN!! Wow, did it ever come down. Nice to be cozy and comy in our home on wheels. Love the sound of the rain on the roof; a real lullaby to put you to sleep.

Had some generator problems to be resolved so when the sun came out Saturday morning Dale was out trouble shooting; so far so good!

We left Red Deer around noon and arrived in Calgary a couple of hours later. The stampede is still on so lots of traffic around. We're parked near the Ambrose University in a very quiet area, but close to most things/people we want to see.
Spent the afternoon/evening with Judy, who toured us around for a bit of shopping and then ending up at one of the casinos to make a donation and have dinner before coming back to the bus for a cup of tea to end the evening.

Today, Sunday, we went to Calgary First Church of the Nazarene where we met up with Mel & Connie Olsen, with whom we had lunch after the service. They were heading back to their home in Drumheller and were in Calgary to see Connie's two grandson's compete in a talent contest (they made it to the finals but didn't win).

Now the clouds are rolling in again and looks like a big storm coming. Think we'll have a quiet hour or two on the bus and see what the weather is going to do before we head out again. Still want to get another visit in with Judy and Matt & Caylie and the kids as well as Lloyd & Phyllis. We'll just see how the time goes as we plan on leaving here sometime tomorrow and actually start working our way east.
